Does Knelstrom need my Second Life password?

No. Never enter your Second Life password into a Knelstrom form or verification object.

How does avatar verification work?

The website creates a short-lived code. An object owned by your avatar sends that code to Knelstrom using Second Life's HTTP system. The simulator includes the owner UUID in the request, allowing the website account to be linked to that avatar.

Why use the UUID?

The UUID is the permanent identity key used by Knelstrom services even if a resident changes their display name.
