NNPC Ltd., the state-owned oil company in Nigeria, and Golar LNG, the Norwegian company, have signed an agreement to build a floating liquefied natural gas plant in the country, according to the company.

Nigeria is looking for investment to boost its own domestic supplies and exports and has some of the largest gas reserves in the world.

The memorandum was signed by NNPC CEO Mele Kyari and Golar CEO Karl Fredrik Staubo in Abuja, according to NNPC on Wednesday.
